Ectopia cordis: Baby born with heart outside the body

2 rating(s) (5 ø)

In England, a baby was born with an extremely rare malformation: the heart beats outside the ribcage. Only five to eight children out of one million are affected and less than ten percent survive after birth. The stable state of the newborn is exceptional.
